User Preferences

You can change many of the settings that affect the ASP.NET Web Matrix IDE. Experiment with the settings in the Preferences dialog box until you find the best environment for your needs.

You can access the Preferences dialog box by selecting Preferences from the Tools menu.

General
- Application: the Application page of the Preferences dialog box allows you to specify how many items to display in the Recent Files menu and the dialog that appears at application startup; either New File, Open File or none. You can access this dialog box by choosing the Application page from the General node.
Text Editor
- Fonts: the Fonts page of the Preferences dialog box allows you to establish a custom font scheme for various user interface elements in the IDE. You can access this dialog box by choosing the Fonts page from the Text Editor node.
Web Editing
- General: the General page of the Preferences dialog box allows you to specify the default editor mode; either Design or Preview. You can access this dialog box by choosing the General page from the Web Editing node.
